No you don’t. All we need is your commitment and your enthusiasm. We can provide you with ideas or even lesson plans - you can see these on our Resources page once you have created a login. You can also discuss with the facilitator which subjects you are able to teach.

It is great if you can speak it or know a few words, but as there will always be a facilitator or teacher present during the lesson, it’s not a requirement. If you do speak some Indonesian or Melayu Ambon do let us know so we could place you to tutor Beginner classes. If you’re interested in learning Bahasa Indonesia, we do offer one class now.

We will immediately acknowledge your email and will try to match you with a class as fast as possible. We will initially offer you a day and time and if they are not convenient, then you should let us know as soon as you can.

Each class has a maximum of 10 students. As students can be located on different islands in the Moluccas, some may struggle with their internet reception. Especially if they attend a class by mobile phone their reception may be intermittent. It can be the case that at times you may have less than 5 students.

The students can be young children, so complete beginners with hardly any English, German or Dutch knowledge, to alumni and PhD students working on their thesis. Some students are looking to practice conversation and some are working towards their passing their EILTS or TOEFL tests.

Again this will also vary greatly. Some come from poor families and live on remote islands, whilst others want to improve their language skills for academic reasons or are looking to move abroad to study or start a new life.

A class lasts between 60 to 90 minutes.

This can vary – they start from teenagers to people in their forties.

Our courses run for 12 weeks.

You will need to notify us at [email protected] as soon as possible so we can arrange a substitute tutor. Please let us know at least 1 day in advance to enable us to find substitute tutor.

Most tutors don’t need a zoom account as the facilitators will provide this. However you need to download the zoom application. Just go to www.zoom.us to create a free account. Once a class is set up, either we or the facilitator will then send you a link, via email of WhatsApp with the joining instructions. Normally you only have to click on the link and follow the instructions. If you have never used Zoom before then we recommend signing up for one of their Webinars.

If you have never taught before, your first class may be a bit daunting. You can sit in other people’s classes to see what it’s like. Please let us know if you want to do this and we could arrange it ([email protected])

You will have the same students for the duration of the course. The number may vary, due to the students’ internet reception.

These are conversational classes, so the emphasis is on talking and to give the students the confidence to use the language skills they already possess. However sometimes you may have to explain some basic grammar to the students, especially if they are complete beginners. If your grammar is a bit rusty then you can refer to our Resources page.

On completion of the course they will receive a Bahasa Basudara Certificate of Attendance and a badge. Some of the Institutions we work with will issue their own certificate.

Each tutor is free to have their own topic of conversation. However we would avoid sensitive and divisive issues such as politics and religion. There is / will be a tutor Chat room where tutors can share their topics of conversation and tips on tutoring. We recommend you visit this area.

Tidak. Semua siswa kelas online dari Bahasa Basudara tidak dikenakan biaya (gratis). Semua tutor (guru) adalah relawan yang memberikan waktu mereka dengan cuma-cuma, jadi kami harapkan ada komitment dari para siswa untuk selalu hadir dalam kelas yang mereka ikuti.

Semua kelas pelatihan Bahasa dari Bahasa Basudara dilakukan melalui sarana on-line. Setiap siswa perlu akses ke computer atau hand phone (HP) yang bisa dipakai untuk gunakan aplikasi Zoom atau pertemuan online lainnya. Pastikan jaringan internet tersambung selama kelas berjalan.

Setiap kelas ada maksimum 10 siswa. Kelas berlangsung selama 60-90 menit setiap pertemuan. Setiap kelas berlangsung selama 12 minggu. Sesudah 12 minggu anda bisa bergabung dengan kelas lain, atau kelas yang sama tetapi dengan tutor (guru) yang lain.

Tidak. Kami bisa membantu pelatihan Bahasa Inggris dari siswa yang baru belajar, hingga mahasiswa, dosen, pekerja, mereka yang ingin menempuh ujian IELTS atau TOEFL. Penting untuk kami mengetahui akan motivasi dan tujuan anda mengikuti pelatihan ini dan juga test bahasa online di website kami agar anda dapat ditempatkan dikelas yang sesuai.

Bisa, tetapi untuk anak dibawah umur 18 tahun harus ditemani oleh salah satu orang tua selama kelas online.

Selama durasi 12 minggu anda akan mempunyai tutor (guru) yang sama sehingga kemajuan berbahasa anda dapat dimonitor.

Harap anda memberitahu Facilitator (Ketua Kelompok) anda beberapa hari sebelumnya.

Konsentrasi dari platform ini adalah untuk menyediakan pelatihan untuk conversation (pembicaraan) yaitu listening (mendengar), comprehension (pengertian) dan speaking (berbicara) dengan tutor (guru) yang fasih atau native dalam bahasanya. Para tutor akan membantu memperbaiki tatabahasa anda dalam percakapan di kelas. Jikalau anda ingin belajar lebih dalam mengenai tatabahasa, kami juga menyediakan beberapa petunjuk-petujuk tentang tatabahasa di website kami (Halaman About/Resources).

Sesudah anda mengikuti pelatihan selama 12 minggu, dan selama anda tidak absen lebih dari 2 kali, anda bisa mendapatkan Bahasa Basudara Certificate of Attendance. Jika anda mengikuti pelatihan ini melalui salah satu institusi mitra kami, mereka bisa juga memberi Sertifikat dari institusi mereka.
